Portland, Ore. – Learning.com today announced its digital literacy curriculum and content for grades K-8 will be completely integrated with Google Classroom and other learning platforms. This new functionality allows educators to easily access digital literacy lessons, activities, application exercises, and quizzes through an online catalog, then deliver the content directly to students through Google Classroom.
Learning.com embarked on this project to fully support Google Classroom and other popular learning management systems based on educator feedback requesting greater ease of access to and a more seamless experience with Learning.com’s digital literacy curriculum and content.
“At Learning.com, we are focused on lowering the barriers school districts face when trying to implement a digital literacy curriculum,” said CEO Keith Oelrich. “By making our content accessible through Google Classroom, teachers can spend more time working with students and less time managing multiple student logins or navigating different platforms that may not work well together.”
Learning.com’s integration with Google Classroom offers educators and districts a number of benefits, including:
- Makes it easier to integrate digital literacy content into what is taught in core subjects.
- Helps infuse the curriculum into lesson plans more quickly, providing easy access to materials that align to district initiatives.
- Removes additional steps to finding, managing, and assigning course content.
- Provides grade pass back for auto-scored content, making it easy to keep grades consolidated in one location without extra effort.
“Teachers have many systems to manage and this integration ensures the two platforms work together for our teachers and students,” said Kathryn Ives, coordinator of instructional technology at Pflugerville Independent School District in Texas. “The integration with Google Classroom makes Learning.com’s content simpler to assign to students, thus making it more accessible to our students.”
The integration will be available to all Learning.com customers by July 2018. For more information and to watch the Learning.com and Google Classroom integration in action, check out this video:
