Learning.com introduces My Curriculum featureNew tool lets teachers create and manage lessons on Learning.com’s
Called “My Curriculum,” this new feature enables teachers to easily create their own lessons, and to integrate those lessons into Learning.com’s curriculum, including EasyTech, a K-8 technology literacy curriculum, and Aha!Math, a K-5 supplemental math curriculum. It works like this: Teachers who are Learning.com customers simply log into their Learning.com account and select the My Curriculum icon. They then walk through the simple steps to create a description of their activity, including selecting a grade range, a scoring scheme, objectives, estimated completion time, and any resources needed. They can add any Web resource links and supporting files, like images, quizzes and answer keys. Teachers can then immediately assign the new lesson to students. And they can use Learning.com’s tools to track and grade student progress on any of their own activities. “Now teachers can maximize their planning time, quickly organize their curriculum, and capture those great ideas for lessons in a simple-to-use environment,” says William Kelly, CEO of Learning.com. “This tool also allows teachers to truly individualize instruction because, with just a few clicks of the mouse, their new lessons can be assigned to as many students as they wish, whenever they wish.” Learning.com is a leader in Web-delivered curriculum, with a K-8 technology literacy curriculum called EasyTech, and a K-5 supplemental math curriculum called Aha!Math. The new My Curriculum feature supports teachers to integrate their own lessons into both EasyTech and Aha!Math curriculum. All teachers need is a Learning.com account and Internet access to use the new tool. “This is another step by Learning.com to give teachers an intuitive and effective tool that can make their teaching more effective, and help save them time,” Kelly says.
