Partnerships with resellers come amid growing global demand to teach K-12 digital skills

January 31, 2022, Portland, Oregon – Learning.com has partnered with three international resellers to make its flagship EasyTech K-12 digital literacy curriculum available outside the U.S. Now, students on three continents will have access to EasyTech, which 1.6 million U.S. students annually use to learn essential digital skills from keyboarding to online safety and computer fundamentals to coding basics.

“Educators around the world realize that digital skills are the foundation for success in nearly every industry, and the global pandemic made these skills even more essential for students,” said Keith Oelrich, CEO of Learning.com. “With the heightened awareness of the need for effective, comprehensive digital literacy curricula, now is an ideal time for us to expand EasyTech’s availability internationally.”

The three international resellers Learning.com is working with are Grupa Educa Mexico, Modern English and Edutech. The agreement will allow the companies, respectively, to sell EasyTech to customers in Mexico, Egypt and the six Middle Eastern countries that comprise the Gulf Cooperation Council. All together, the resellers have the potential to reach over 60 million more K-12 students.

The United Nations has called for every human on the planet to have safe and affordable internet access by 2030. As connectivity grows and well-paid jobs become increasingly reliant on digital skills, UNICEF has drawn attention to teach children digital literacy skills. In a survey, UNICEF found lack of capacity among teachers and trainers was the most often-cited obstacle to digital literacy for children.

“Because of the breadth of Learning.com’s digital literacy curriculum, and the fact that instructors don’t need specialized computer training to teach with it, we believe that EasyTech has the potential to be extremely successful in the international market,” said Oelrich.
