Another school year is coming to a close. Have students develop their skills while they reminisce about the adventures of the past academic year — both social and scholastic. Each of these activities meets a variety of state and national standards for technology and core subject areas.
Grades K-2
Students have learned a lot this year, both in their core curriculum and technology skills. Have students create a timeline of the school year, marking one key skill and social/personal event for each month.
EasyTech units: Visual Mapping Basics
Grades 3-5
Have students use Presentation Software to create an A-Z multimedia presentation, with each letter representing something that happened this school year. (For example, A could be Andy (new friend); F could be fractions (new math skill); Z could be zoo (class fieldtrip).) Each slide should include some information about the item, as well as a graphic (illustration, photo, graph, icon).

Grades 6-8
Have students create a “Goodbye 2006-07 school year” Web page or newsletter (your choice, or let them choose). They should include (at least) the following three content items: What I’ll Miss/What I Won’t Miss; Top 5 Things I Learned; What I’ll Be Up To This Summer. They should also include photos or graphics.
