How is EasyTech packaged?
EasyTech is delivered online and is available in Basic and Integrator editions. EasyTech Basic Edition does not include student tracking or unit quizzes. EasyTech Integrator Edition includes full evaluation and student management options, including unit quizzes. Both editions include the English and Spanish versions of the EasyTech curriculum. EasyTech is licensed on a per-student annual subscription model.

Can home schools or families purchase EasyTech?
Currently, EasyTech is only available for purchase by schools and districts. If you are associated with a school or school district, you may want to suggest EasyTech as a resource for technology literacy.

What does a subscription to EasyTech include?
A subscription to EasyTech includes access to EasyTech curriculum content, and access to EasyTech's management system. All EasyTech subscriptions include online teacher resources, including Teacher Guides, Implementation resources, and more. EasyTech subscriptions also includes phone and email support for coordinators to ensure successful implementation.

What funding sources can schools and districts use to license EasyTech?
There are many ways to find the funding to license EasyTech for your school or district. The funding sources used have included technology budgets, instructional or curriculum budgets, professional development funds, PTA/PTO money, federal, state or private grants, ESL/Special Education funding, and Title I. What standards is EasyTech aligned to?
EasyTech is aligned to ISTE NETS-S, state technology and core curriculum standards. In addition, EasyTech is aligned to the National Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies Standards.

Is EasyTech available in Spanish?
Yes, EasyTech is available in Spanish. As an adaptation of our award-winning technology curriculum, EasyTech Spanish provides Spanish-adapted lessons and activities to help Spanish-speaking students know when and how to use technology to solve core curriculum and real world problems. Students progressing through EasyTech Spanish listen to Spanish audio, read Spanish text, and respond in Spanish as they master concepts related to keyboarding, word processing software, spreadsheets, visual mapping, and more. For what grades is EasyTech designed?
EasyTech's material is designed for K-8 students and teachers. EasyTech is fully scoped and sequenced into a complete curriculum, making it easy for teachers to integrate the program into different grades and subjects.

What types of reports are available in EasyTech?
EasyTech includes various accountability reports that make it easy for teachers to plan instruction, make informed instructional decisions, and report progress to parents and administrators. EasyTech also offers reports for administrators that make it easy to monitor usage and progress across campuses, and report on standards met in the district.

How does EasyTech help integrate technology across the curriculum?
EasyTech supports a district's effort to make technology a seamless part of the curriculum by ensuring that all students and teachers have the foundational skills to use technology as a tool to enhance learning and instruction. EasyTech also includes core subject area lesson plans that model effective technology integration by taking what is already being taught in our classrooms, and embedding technology. EasyTech does not just teach students how to use technology, instead it teaches students when and why a particular technology application is the right tool to use to solve the problem they are facing. With these skills, students can independently apply the most effective tool, digital or not, to any given challenge. With EasyTech, districts can successfully meet their technology integration goals.

How does EasyTech address constantly changing brands and versions of software?
Learning.com's goal is that all students have adaptable and transferable skills, so no matter what brand or version of software they are using, they will be successful. To accomplish this goal, EasyTech focuses on teaching concepts, not brands of software. By being brand and platform-neutral, EasyTech lessons allow students to be adaptable, and successfully apply their knowledge and skills to all common versions of applications.

How many instructional hours does EasyTech require to meet the technology standards?
EasyTech is a flexible program that can be used in many ways to meet the needs of all educators. EasyTech was built to fit into existing schedules and existing classroom curricula.

Can EasyTech be used for professional development?
Many school districts have created technology professional development programs for the teachers who are licensed for EasyTech. EasyTech can be organized in a way to meet teacher technology standards, and gives the reporting to show that teachers have completed the assigned content.

Does EasyTech have to be used in a computer lab to be effective?
No. While EasyTech is effective when used in a computer lab, it can also be used in a variety of technology environments. Many districts use EasyTech with computers in the back of a classroom, with wireless computer carts, or with 1:1 computer settings. As EasyTech is delivered over the Internet, it can be accessed from wherever there is an Internet-connected computer. The EasyTech Teacher Guide (available with an EasyTech subscription) outlines specific strategies for using EasyTech in various technology environments.

What types of assessment are included in EasyTech?
There are multiple forms of assessment built into EasyTech. EasyTech lessons provide one level of assessment of student knowledge and understanding of technology concepts and strategies. Scores from EasyTech lessons reflect their performance. In addition, EasyTech Activities include rubrics for evaluating student performance on classroom projects that use technology tools. Finally, EasyTech quizzes evaluate student knowledge of the technology concepts addressed in EasyTech units. EasyTech reports give educators valuable data on student performance.

For an assessment of students' technology proficiency, Learning.com offers TechLiteracy Assessment, an authentic assessment of the tech proficiency of elementary and middle school students.

TechLiteracy Assessment helps school administrators satisfy accountability requirements by demonstrating that state and national standards are being addressed.

My child uses EasyTech at school. Can he or she log in from home, too?
Since EasyTech is delivered online, students, teachers and parents of subscribing schools can access the program on any computer that meets system requirements. In fact, many teachers use EasyTech as a homework activity that students and their parents can do together. For information on how to access EasyTech at home, please contact your child's teacher for log-in information.

What support and staff development does Learning.com provide for its products?
Learning.com offers free and unlimited email and phone technical and customer support to 1 designated contact per building. We also provide online tools and resources for common customer questions, available to all users of EasyTech. Learning.com's customer support is available M-F 6am-5pm PST.

Learning.com also offers optional professional development workshops, on topics ranging from getting started with an EasyTech implementation, to curriculum mapping and modeling and mentoring.

Can I try EasyTech on a trial basis?
Yes! Learning.com offers a free trial of EasyTech. There are several tutorials available in the trial version of EasyTech to assist you with common tasks.
