Access Free Digital Resources
Replacing costly textbooks with Open Educational Resources (OER) is a great way to extend your curriculum budget. OER are free to acquire, free to use, and the content may be freely re-purposed and distributed. Interactive multimedia, simulations, online courses, adaptive tutorials, and serious learning games can help you meet your instructional goals.
Curriculum Foundry provides access to a repository of vetted, standards-aligned Open Educational Resources (OER) and other free digital resources. The repository includes content for all grade levels K-12 aligned to the four core subject areas: math, ELA, science, and social studies.
Get the Right Content at the Right Time
Search functionality makes it easy to find content by standard, grade, subject, and item type. You can customize the repository for your district by adding your own district-created resources and third-party content such as SAS® Curriculum Pathways®.
Organize and Build Custom Curriculum
Curriculum Foundry is perfect for curriculum planning. By simply selecting and organized the resources you identified as favorites during your search, you can create lessons, units, and even entire courses for any core subject with just a few clicks.
It's easy to keep your digital curriculum organized with Curriculum Foundry's labeling functionality. You can also include teacher instructions and student directions for each unit before you share the content with your teachers.
Share Content with Teachers and Students
Once you’ve created your own curriculum using Curriculum Foundry, you can export the content via Thin Common Cartridge™ v1.3 (TCC v1.3) to learning management systems that support TCC imports. If your district does not have an existing LMS, the content can be delivered using the Learning.com LMS.
Coming Soon! Google Drive™ Integration
Ready for the fall of 2015, Curriculum Foundry will integrate with Google Drive™. Districts using Google Apps for Education™ will be able to share the lessons, units, and courses they have created in Curriculum Foundry through Google Drive. Students and teachers will be able to launch the content from Google Drive or Google Classroom™. You will also be able to add content created in Google Drive to your district’s library in Curriculum Foundry for future use.
