Ohio Department of Education

Ohio Partners with Learning.com for Online Safety Curriculum

When new Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requirements on Internet safety education were set to take effect in 2012, the Ohio Department of Education found itself fielding concerns from Ohio districts about fulfilling the new standards and retaining their E-Rate funding.

The Ohio DOE met its districts’ concerns by selecting EasyTech Online Safety curriculum from Learning.com, the only solution on the market that met all of the state’s requirements. The state purchased the curriculum and now provides it at no cost to all Ohio public and chartered non-public school districts. The Ohio DOE has received overwhelmingly positive responses from educators who appreciate the easy-to-use software, flexible approach, and student-focused content.

“The feedback we received from schools using Learning.com was overwhelmingly positive, and we’re proud to offer this resource to Ohio teachers and students at no cost.”
