About

Senior Accountant

Position Summary
Responsible for maintaining the books and financial records of the company. Assists the Controller and VP of Finance and Administration with other financial matters as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
    • Prepare monthly journal entries
    • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Financial statement preparation and analysis
    • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for payroll and benefits administration
    • Responsible for tax and other miscellaneous filings for payroll
  • Maintain accounting procedures and policies
  • Assist with ongoing assessment of internal control risks
  • Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
  • Assist with budgeting and strategic analysis
  • Assist with financial and tax audits
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities
Individual contributor, Mentoring role

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum five years experience in the accounting field
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Payroll and benefit administration experience preferred
  • Experience with ADP – PC Payroll and ezLabor a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all departments throughout the organization as well as all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a customer service focus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Experience with integrated accounting systems
  • Netsuite experience preferred
