PORTLAND, OREGON (March 19, 2007) — Learning.com announces today the appointment of Candace Petersen as its President/Chief Operating Officer. Petersen will bring to Learning.com her extensive strategic business and education sector experience, focusing her efforts on its business strategies and the expansion of sales and operations.

Petersen was most recently vice president and chief strategy officer for InFocus Corporation, a worldwide leader in the projection market, headquartered in Wilsonville, Ore. Petersen, who holds a doctorate in Systems Science from Portland State University, was also a founding partner of Petersen & Prusia, a marketing research and consulting firm for advanced display and emerging high-tech industries, and has for 10 years taught as an assistant and adjunct professor in PSU’s School of Business.

"Candace brings to Learning.com the expertise and experience that will support us as we continue to expand our products and services in the education sector, develop relationships and partnerships, and serve our students and districts," says William J.
