Teachers: Now Buy Aha!Math, EasyTech for Full Year
Learning.com's Classroom Store now offers both EasyTech and Aha!Math for teachers to purchase for a full calendar year. Teachers can now purchase 12-month subscriptions for individual students or their whole class with a credit card.
"The Classroom Store makes it easy for teachers and principals who want to use classroom funds to make a purchase on a smaller scale than for a full school or multi-classrooms," says William Kelly, Learning.com CEO. "Our goal is to help teachers provide students with individualized learning, and the instructional tools they need right when they need it."
The 12-month starter kit can be used with up to 10 students, and expansion packs are available for use with up to five students. Prices start at $120 for Aha!Math for 12-months, and $110 for EasyTech for 12 months. Because these solutions are Web-delivered, there's no need to install special software, so teachers can get started immediately with their purchase.

Maryland chooses TechLiteracy Assessment
The state of Maryland will assess all Maryland seventh-grade students for technology literacy proficiency using Learning.com's TechLiteracy Assessment. All 24 local school systems will test approximately 62,000 students during the 2008-2009 school year.
TechLiteracy Assessment blends multiple choice questions and interactive, performance-based items to authentically assess students' technology knowledge and skills. Data from the Web-delivered assessment will provide Maryland educators with accurate and timely information about how well students are mastering technology knowledge and skills. Because TechLiteracy Assessment is designed to be completed in a class period, it will limit the impact on instructional time for students.
